Maple Cinnamon Overnight Oats

These overnight oats are the ultimate set-it-and-forget-it breakfast. A quick stir before bed gives you thick, creamy oats infused with maple and cinnamon by morning. Top them however you like and enjoy straight from the jar.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 apple, diced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Combine the oats, milk, yogurt, maple syrup, cinnamon, chia seeds, vanilla, and salt in a jar or bowl.
  2. Stir thoroughly until the chia seeds are evenly distributed.
  3. Cover and refrigerate overnight, or for at least six hours.
  4. In the morning, stir the oats and loosen with a splash of milk if they are too thick.
  5. Divide between two bowls or jars.
  6. Top with diced apple and chopped walnuts just before serving.

Tips

  • Use quick oats for a softer texture or steel-cut for extra chew.
  • Prepare several jars at once for grab-and-go breakfasts all week.
  • Swap the apple and walnuts for berries and almonds to change things up.
