This Caprese avocado toast is a little bit lunch, a little bit snack, and entirely delicious. Creamy avocado meets classic Caprese flavors on a crisp slice of bread. It comes together in five minutes with almost no cooking.

Ingredients
- 2 thick slices sourdough bread
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 4 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
- Handful of fresh basil leaves
- 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, halved
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Red pepper flakes to taste
Instructions
- Toast the sourdough slices until golden and crisp.
- Rub each warm slice with the cut side of the garlic clove for extra flavor.
- Mash the avocado with a pinch of salt and pepper, then spread it over the toast.
- Layer the mozzarella slices and halved cherry tomatoes on top.
- Tuck the fresh basil leaves between the tomatoes.
- Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic glaze, then finish with red pepper flakes and a pinch of salt.
